Things to Know When Traveling to Bali

Posted on 17 December 2020 by (0)

For many years, Bali has been a renowned retreat for yoga, surfing, and nature junkies. Today, it is one of the most visited travel destinations in the world. And, that only tells of its vast tourism resources, which include coral reef beaches, azure seas, lush tropical forests, delicious cuisines, wildlife, and great weather. Nevertheless, the following are useful tips for enjoyable adventures in Bali.

Choose Your Destination Carefully

One of the things that you should take note of when visiting Bali is that they do not put all their eggs in one basket. Every part of Bali offers unique attractions and activities that you should know about to plan the perfect itinerary. For instance, the west coast destinations like Kuta and Canggu have strong waves for professional surfing while east coast spots such as Legian have calm waters for surfing classes, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

Expect Crowds

Bali is buzzing with tourist activities almost all year long. As such, you can expect huge traffics of other travelers, vacation seekers, and the locals, especially in Ubud and southern Bali. The main reason is that most popular tourist attractions are found at those destinations. However, you can ditch the crowded tourist sites for the north and west coasts or central mountains that are more chilled-out.

The Swimsuit Does not cut it!

Despite the humid and hot weather in Bali, some local establishments including high-end restaurants, bars, and nightclubs impose dress codes. You will navigate most parts of the island in your beachwear but, not its fine establishments.

Go Local

Life in Bali is unique and, the best way to explore it is through embracing the local culture and customs. There are many ways to experience the Bali culture including moped rides, fire dance at Uluwatu, raw food restaurants, rice terraces, and yoga classes. Take a boat ride to the three Gili Islands for electric parties and water activities with the locals.

Bali is undoubtedly a beautiful destination with lots of sights, sounds, and activities for memorable adventures.
